UPI MDR Calculator respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use the UPI MDR Calculator mobile application, how that information is used, stored, and protected, and the choices available to you.

1. Information Collection and Use
UPI MDR Calculator is designed primarily as an offline utility application for calculating and understanding merchant-related UPI MDR and transaction fees.
Depending on how you use the Application, the following information may be processed:
Transaction amounts that you enter into the calculator
Merchant category selections
Transaction type selections
Monthly transaction estimates entered into the Monthly Calculator
Calculation history generated within the Application
App settings and preferences
Device information, app version, operating system, and technical information where required for application functionality, crash reporting, or security
Anonymous or aggregated usage information, if analytics services are enabled
The Application does not require access to your bank account, UPI transaction history, contacts, SMS messages, phone calls, location, camera, microphone, or files for its core calculator functionality.
2. Financial and Transaction Information
UPI MDR Calculator allows you to manually enter transaction amounts and other values to estimate MDR and settlement amounts.
The Application does not connect to your bank account or UPI account and does not retrieve actual payment transactions from banks, UPI applications, payment providers, or financial institutions.
The transaction amount and other values entered into the calculator are used to perform calculations requested by you.
Unless specifically stated otherwise in the Application, calculator inputs and calculation history are intended to remain stored locally on your device.
UPI MDR Calculator does not process, initiate, authorize, or receive payments.
3. Calculation History
The Application may provide a calculation-history feature that allows you to review previous calculations.
History may contain:
Transaction amount
Merchant category
Transaction type
Calculated MDR
Estimated settlement amount
Additional charges entered or calculated by the Application
Rule version or calculation information
Date and time of the calculation
Calculation history is intended to be stored locally on your device.
If you uninstall the Application or clear its application data, locally stored history may be permanently removed by the operating system.
4. How Information Is Used
Information processed by the Application may be used to:
Calculate estimated MDR and merchant fees
Calculate estimated settlement amounts
Calculate monthly and annual MDR estimates
Display applicable calculation rules and explanations
Maintain calculation history
Remember application preferences and settings
Improve application functionality and reliability
Diagnose crashes and technical problems where applicable
Detect abuse or security issues where applicable
Provide important service-related notices
Comply with applicable legal obligations
The Service Provider does not use your calculator inputs to initiate or execute financial transactions.
5. Third-Party Services
The Application may use third-party services for limited technical or business functions, such as:
Application distribution and updates
Crash reporting
Anonymous analytics
Advertising, if advertisements are enabled
Payment processing for optional premium features, if introduced
Hosting or infrastructure services, if required for future features
Third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.
Where possible, the Application is designed to minimize the information shared with third-party services.
The Service Provider does not sell your personal information as a general business practice.
6. Advertising
The Application may display advertisements through third-party advertising providers.
If advertising is enabled, advertising providers may collect certain device or advertising information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
The Application does not provide advertising providers with access to your bank account or UPI transaction history.
Where required by applicable law, consent or applicable privacy controls will be provided for personalized advertising or other non-essential tracking.
7. Analytics and Crash Reporting
If analytics or crash-reporting services are enabled, the Application may collect limited technical information such as:

Crash information
Anonymous feature usage information

The Service Provider does not intentionally send the contents of your financial calculations to analytics services unless specifically disclosed within the Application.
8. Local Storage and Offline Use
UPI MDR Calculator is designed with an offline-first approach.
Core calculator functionality can operate without requiring access to your bank account or UPI account.
Information such as calculation history and application preferences may be stored locally on your device.
The Service Provider cannot access information that remains solely within the local storage of your device unless you voluntarily provide that information through a support request or another feature that explicitly transmits it.
9. MDR Rules and Information Sources
The Application may contain MDR rules, merchant categories, thresholds, calculation methods, effective dates, and related explanatory information.
These rules may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in applicable regulations, payment-network rules, government notifications, or other official information.
The Application is an informational calculator and should not be considered a bank, payment service provider, financial institution, tax advisor, or legal advisor.
Actual charges may vary depending on factors including merchant classification, acquiring bank, payment provider, payment instrument, applicable taxes, contractual terms, and regulatory changes.
You should verify important financial information with your acquiring bank, payment provider, or applicable official source.
10. No Bank or UPI Access
UPI MDR Calculator does not:
Access your bank account
Access your UPI account
Read your UPI transaction history
Initiate UPI payments
Receive or settle payments
Access banking credentials
Store UPI PINs
Store card numbers or CVV information
Access SMS messages for payment verification
Access contacts
You should never enter your UPI PIN, banking password, card PIN, CVV, OTP, or other authentication credentials into the Application.
11. Data Sharing
The Service Provider does not sell your personal information as a general business practice.
Information may be shared with third-party service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate the Application, such as analytics, crash reporting, advertising, infrastructure, payment processing for optional purchases, or legal compliance.
The Service Provider may also disclose information when required by law, legal process, court order, governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of the Service Provider, users, or others.
12. International Data Transfers
Some third-party service providers may process information on servers located outside your country of residence.
Where applicable, such providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and legally required safeguards.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate mechanisms may be used for international data transfers.
13. Data Retention
Information stored locally by the Application generally remains on your device until you delete it, clear the Application's data, or uninstall the Application, subject to the behavior of your device and operating system.
Technical information collected by third-party analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or other services may be retained according to the applicable provider's retention policies.
Where information is collected directly by the Service Provider, it will generally be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law.

Depending on your device and applicable law, you may be able to:
Disable personalized advertising through your device settings
Reset or limit your advertising identifier
Disable optional permissions, if any are introduced in future versions
Clear locally stored application data
Uninstall the Application

Because the core calculator does not require an account, most calculator functionality can be used without providing personal information directly to the Service Provider.
