Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the PhoneGuard – Who Touched? mobile application and related services operated by Neelesh Sahu (collectively, the “Application”). Neelesh Sahu is referred to as the “Service Provider.”
This Privacy Policy explains what information PhoneGuard may access or collect, why it is used, how it is stored, and the choices available to you.
1. Information Collection and Use
PhoneGuard is designed as a personal phone protection and security utility.
Depending on the features you enable and permissions you grant, the Application may access or process:
- Device information such as device model, operating system version, and application version
- Security event information
- Failed or successful device unlock events
- Movement or motion detection information
- Charger connection/disconnection events
- Photos captured when configured security events occur
- Device location when location tagging is enabled
- Notification information required to provide security alerts
- Application usage information where the relevant Android system permission is explicitly granted and a feature requires it
- Technical information required to operate background protection services
- Information that you voluntarily provide while using the Application
PhoneGuard's access to information depends on the features you enable and the Android permissions you grant.
2. Security Event Information
PhoneGuard can monitor selected security-related events on your device.
Depending on your configuration, these may include:
Access Protection
PhoneGuard may detect:
- Failed unlock/password attempts
- Successful unlock events
- The time an access event occurred
- Associated security configuration
When enabled, an access event may trigger configured security actions such as photo capture, location tagging, or an alarm.
PhoneGuard does not collect your actual device password, PIN, pattern, fingerprint, or biometric information.
The Application uses Android's device security mechanisms to receive security event notifications rather than accessing or storing your lock-screen credentials.
3. Movement Detection
If Movement Protection is enabled, PhoneGuard uses the device's motion sensors to detect unexpected movement.
Movement information may be processed locally on the device to determine whether the configured movement threshold has been exceeded.
PhoneGuard does not need to continuously upload sensor readings to a server.
Movement detection may generate a security event containing information such as:
- Event type
- Date and time
- Detection status
- Configured sensitivity
- Optional location information
- Optional photo evidence
4. Charger Disconnection Detection
If Charger Protection is enabled, PhoneGuard monitors the device's charging state to detect when the charging connection is disconnected.
A charger-disconnection event may trigger the actions you have configured, including:
- Security alarm
- Vibration
- Flash
- Photo capture
- Location tagging
- Activity history entry
PhoneGuard does not access payment information, charger identity, or information from the charging cable.
5. Camera and Photo Evidence
PhoneGuard may request access to your device camera.
Camera access is used to provide optional security evidence when supported and enabled by you.
For example, depending on your configuration, a security event may cause PhoneGuard to attempt to capture a photo.
Photos may be associated with the corresponding security event in the Application.
PhoneGuard does not use the camera for continuous photography.
Camera functionality may be subject to Android operating-system restrictions, device manufacturer restrictions, camera availability, permissions, and background execution limitations.
If camera access is denied, unavailable, or restricted by the operating system, PhoneGuard may not be able to capture a photo.
6. Location Information
PhoneGuard may request access to:
- Approximate location
- Precise location
- Background location
Location information is used only when location-based protection is enabled and the required Android permission has been granted.
Location may be associated with a security event such as:
- Access event
- Movement event
- Charger disconnection event
Location can help you understand where a security event occurred.
PhoneGuard does not require location information for basic protection features that do not use location tagging.
If you deny location permission, location-based features may not work.
7. Notifications
PhoneGuard may request notification permission to provide security alerts and important application notifications.
Notifications may inform you about events such as:
- Failed access attempts
- Movement detected
- Charger disconnected
- Photo captured
- Alarm triggered
- Protection status
You can manage notification permission through Android system settings.
8. Alarm, Vibration and Flash
PhoneGuard may use your device's:
- Speaker
- Vibration motor
- Camera flash
to provide security alerts when you enable the corresponding options.
These capabilities are used to alert you when a configured protection event occurs.
PhoneGuard does not collect personal information from the speaker, vibration motor, or flash.
9. Background Protection
PhoneGuard uses an Android foreground service to provide selected protection features while the Application is not actively displayed on screen.
The background service may monitor enabled protection mechanisms and respond to supported security events.
Android may display a foreground-service notification or otherwise restrict background behavior depending on the Android version and device manufacturer.
PhoneGuard cannot guarantee that every background feature will operate identically on every Android device.
10. Battery Optimization
PhoneGuard may request permission to be excluded from Android battery optimization.
This permission is intended to help the protection service continue operating reliably when the application is running in the background.
This permission does not provide PhoneGuard with access to your personal files, passwords, messages, contacts, or other unrelated information.
You can manage battery optimization settings through Android system settings.
11. Device Administrator
PhoneGuard may use Android's Device Administrator functionality to detect supported device security events such as password failures and successful password authentication.
Device Administrator access is used for the application's phone-protection functionality.
PhoneGuard does not use Device Administrator access to:
- Read your password
- Read your PIN
- Read your pattern
- Access your private messages
- Access your contacts
- Access your personal files
You can revoke Device Administrator access through Android settings where supported.
12. Boot and Restart Handling
PhoneGuard may receive Android boot-completed events.
This capability allows the Application to restore or initialize supported protection functionality after the device restarts, according to your settings and Android's system restrictions.
PhoneGuard does not automatically enable protection against your configured settings.
13. Usage Statistics
The Application may request Android's PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS capability.
If a PhoneGuard feature uses this capability, it may allow the Application to access supported Android application-usage information for that feature.
PhoneGuard does not use this capability to read:
- Passwords
- Private messages
- Photos
- Contacts
- Banking credentials
If your installed version of PhoneGuard does not use application-usage information, this permission is not used for unrelated data collection.
14. How Information Is Used
The Service Provider may use information accessed by PhoneGuard to:
- Provide phone protection functionality
- Detect configured security events
- Generate security alerts
- Capture optional security evidence
- Associate location with security events when enabled
- Maintain activity history
- Operate background protection
- Troubleshoot application problems
- Improve application reliability
- Prevent abuse or unauthorized use
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
PhoneGuard is designed primarily to process protection information on your device.
15. Local Storage
PhoneGuard may store application settings, security events, and related information locally on your device.
Locally stored information may include:
- Protection settings
- Access events
- Movement events
- Charger events
- Event timestamps
- Photo evidence
- Location information when enabled
- Alarm configuration
- Application preferences
Local information remains on your device unless you choose to share, export, or otherwise transmit it through a feature that provides such functionality.
16. Sharing of Information
PhoneGuard does not sell your personal information as a general business practice.
PhoneGuard does not intentionally share your security event information, photos, or location with advertisers.
If future versions of the Application introduce third-party services, cloud storage, analytics, advertising, authentication, or other data-processing services, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law, legal process, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Service Provider, users, or others.
17. Third-Party Services
The Application may rely on Android operating-system services and APIs to provide functionality.
These may include Android services related to:
- Device security
- Camera
- Location
- Notifications
- Foreground services
- Motion sensors
- Battery management
These services are subject to their respective platform policies and terms.
PhoneGuard does not control how Android itself processes information at the operating-system level.
18. Data Retention
PhoneGuard retains locally stored security information for as long as it remains stored on your device or until you delete it through available Application functionality or uninstall the Application.
Photos, security events, and location information stored locally may remain available until deleted.
If information is transmitted to a third-party service in a future version of the Application, applicable retention practices will be described in an updated Privacy Policy.
19. Your Choices
You can control many PhoneGuard features through the Application and Android settings.
You may:
- Enable or disable Access Protection
- Enable or disable Movement Protection
- Enable or disable Charger Protection
- Enable or disable photo capture
- Enable or disable location tagging
- Enable or disable alarms
- Configure alarm sound and vibration
- Control notification permissions
- Control camera permissions
- Control location permissions
- Control battery optimization settings
- Revoke Device Administrator access
- Uninstall the Application
Disabling certain permissions or features may prevent corresponding PhoneGuard functionality from operating.
20. Data Deletion
Because much of PhoneGuard's protection data may be stored locally, you can delete locally stored Application data through Android settings or available Application functionality.
Uninstalling PhoneGuard may remove locally stored application data according to Android's application-data behavior.
If information has been transmitted to a Service Provider-controlled system or third-party service, uninstalling the Application may not automatically delete that information.

21. Children's Privacy
PhoneGuard is not intended for children under 16 years of age, or such higher minimum age as may be required by applicable law.
The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit personal information from children.

The Service Provider will take appropriate action as required by applicable law.
22. Security
The Service Provider takes reasonable measures to protect information processed by the Application.
PhoneGuard is designed to minimize unnecessary collection of personal information and to provide users with control over optional permissions and protection features.
However, no method of electronic storage, processing, or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You should also protect your device using Android's available security mechanisms, including a strong screen lock.
23. Data Breach Notification
If a security incident or data breach affects personal information controlled by the Service Provider, the Service Provider will provide notifications as required by applicable law.
Such notification may describe the nature of the incident, affected information, and steps taken to address it where legally required.
24. International Data Transfers
If information is processed by the Service Provider or applicable third-party providers in countries outside your country of residence, such information may be transferred internationally.
Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards will be used for such transfers.
25. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have rights under applicable California privacy laws, including rights to:
- Know what personal information is collected
- Request access to personal information
- Request deletion of personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Opt out of applicable sale or sharing of personal information
- Receive equal treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights

26. European Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights including:

- Withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent
- Data portability where applicable

27. Third-Party Links and Services
PhoneGuard may provide links or access to third-party services in future versions.
Third-party services may have their own privacy policies and terms.
The Service Provider is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that are outside the Service Provider's control.
28. Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When changes are made, the updated policy will be published with a new Effective Date.
Where required by law, additional notice or consent may be provided.
29. Your Consent
Where processing is based on your consent, you provide consent by granting the relevant permission or enabling the applicable PhoneGuard feature.
You may withdraw permission or disable the relevant feature at any time through the Application or Android settings, where supported.
Withdrawal of permission may affect the functionality that depends on that permission.
